Harbour Centre is a notable complex in the central business district of Downtown Vancouver where business and technology meet. It encompasses business, retail, tourism and education. Located at the junction of Vancouver’s key transportation arteries, it is easily accessible from anywhere in the Lower Mainland, whether you are arriving by road, bus, train, floatplane, Seabus or Helijet.
The "Lookout" tower atop the office building makes it one of the tallest structures in Vancouver and a prominent landmark on the city's skyline. With its 360 degree viewing deck, it also serves as a top tourist attraction, offering a physically unobstructed view of the city.
Designed by WZMH Architects, the building has 28 stories. Its structural height is 146 metres (481 feet), making it one of the tallest office buildings in the city (2007). However, the height of the ornamental pylon at the top is often included as part of the building's overall pinnacle height, arriving at a figure of 177 metres (581 feet). The building was British Columbia's tallest (measured from Cordova Street to the tip of the spire) until the construction of One Wall Centre in 2001.
It is steps away from Waterfront Station SkyTrain Station, a major multi-modal transit hub which serves as the Downtown Vancouver terminal for various TransLink operations such as SeaBus, West Coast Express, SkyTrain metro,Canada Line and buses.
